Improving the SEO of your website increases the Organic traffic which in turn grows your business through leads and enquiries.

Google has a 78% market share of search. In 2012 Google had over 1.2 trillion searches for the year and a growth of 10-15% in more searches each year.

The 5 main channels for connecting people to websites are Referrals, Social, Direct, Paid and Organic traffic.

Organic traffic is traffic that comes to your website as a result of searching through a search engine like Google. Because they are specifically looking for the content on your website they are generally the most valuable traffic source and most likely to convert.

Types of optimisation

Technical SEO refers to onsite optimisation which to improve keyword rankings and crawlability. There are over 200 factors used for ranking and deranking your website. I’ll crawl your website to identify its current standing then put together my recommendations for optimisation. An example of the tasks you can expect are:

  • Keyword research
  • Meta data optimisation
  • Internal linking
  • Sitemap set-up
  • Schema markup
  • Usability improvements
  • HTML improvements for keyword locations
  • Content recommendations
  • Image optimisation

Along with these improvements, I will set-up goal tracking through Google Analytics and link your site with Google’s Search Console for further improvements. Once optimised, you can expect your website’s organic traffic to increase which will result in more business (especially new business).

Organic traffic has a higher conversion rate due to people trusting Google’s recommendation of the best result from their search query. You can also track your website goals (product sale, email enquiry etc) with an assigned value to measure the return on investment.

Local SEO is important for businesses with a physical location and services targeted for their area, a large part of this involves Google My Business listings (or Google Maps). I will make sure your website and listing is set-up correctly and optimised for local search.

NAP (Name, Address & Phone number) signals are useful when Google is evaluating the trust of your brand. Having this information offsite helps Google verify your business information is accurate and trustworthy, there is a number of reliable websites your listing should be on (some of which allow backlinks) that I will assess.

Backlinks play a large part in Google ranking, there are 2 types of links; follow and nofollow. A followed link on an external website is crawled by Google Bot, when Google sees that you have a followed link from this website it passes link equity which is used by Google when evaluating your websites rank. Link equity from a website with a lot of backlinks (e.g. Wikipedia) will have a larger impact on your Google rank. If you build links incorrectly, it can have a negative affect on your website rank which is why it’s important to use a reliable and trustworthy SEO.

Pricing

Depending on the CMS (Content Management System) your website is built with, the level of optimisation can be affected. For example a website built with Squarespace may not allow the same amount of technical SEO to be applied as a website built with WordPress.

Please contact and send your website and the goals you would like to achieve, I will asses your situation and put together my recommendations.
